Basic Rotary Skills (At The Quilt Works)



CLASS DESCRIPTION
(This class, or equivalent experience, is a prerequisite for all machine classes.)  Begin your quilting experience with patches that are exactly the right size.  In this class, we introduce you to the wide spectrum of rotary cutters, rulers and mats that are available, and to the techniques that enable you to cut fabric patches with accuracy and precision.  Complete the class and receive a $10 credit for any store purchase.

Patches for an 8" x 8" block

FABRICS
One-half (1/2) yard pieces of two fabrics, one light and one dark.

EQUIPMENT & NOTIONS
6" x 24" or 6.5" x 24.5" ruler.  Creative Grids and Quilters Select are recommended
Rotary cutter with a good blade
Optional: 6" or larger square ruler
Do not bring a cutting mat.
