Bag Making Basics

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Come and learn some of the essentials for making any kind of bag. Lisa will show you how to do two different kinds of zippers, boxing bag bottoms, pockets and linings. By the end of class, you will have created 3 different bags!

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
Bags 1 and 2: 2 coordinating fat quarters for each bag
Bag 3: 1/2 yard of 3 coordinating fabrics
Pellon SF 101 Shapeflex—1 1/2 yards
Pellon 987F Fusible fleece—1 yard

EQUIPMENT & NOTIONS
1 1/2 yards of 1 1/4” or 1 1/2” cotton webbing for straps
All-purpose zippers for bags 1 and 2—14” zippers
Sewing machine in good working order
Thread
Marking pens or chalk
Rotary cutter
Turning tool
Size 14 or 16 sewing machine needles
Clips and pins and other basic sewing supplies
